    The TOA Appointment Scheduler is responsible for being our patients' biggest advocate. Appointment Schedulers need to understand TOA Physicians, locations, and services inside and out to ensure patients are getting the best care possible for each unique situation.

    • Assist patients in scheduling appointments electronically 
    • Maintain a professional & empathetic tone while conducting phone calls
    • Listen actively to patient medical history 
    • Dissect pertinent details needed to schedule appointments accurately

    • Implement problem solving/critical thinking in scenarios with gray areas

    • Maneuver between two screens and two systems

    • Answer inbound calls efficiently during high call volume periods
    • Obtain and enter new patient demographics and insurance information
    • Schedule Rock Hopper appointments
    • Schedule Online appointment requests
    • Perform outbound calls to complete time sensitive referral tasks
    • Reschedule appointments for doctor cancellations
    • Respond effectively to time sensitive email communication

    • Deescalate conflict independently with disgruntled patients
    • Maintain call productivity while multitasking


    • High School Diploma required
    • Knowledge of patient appointment scheduling
    • Professionalism
    • Must have basic computer skills 
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Must be organized and detail-oriented
